Unpleasant explosions
It was cold this morning..but
not frozen enough to drive the truck on the driveway.
The ATV was backfiring on
cold mornings when I put it in reverse, but today I think I let it warm
up enough to prevent those unpleasant explosions.

Backfiring means lean mixture- yep, let 'er warm up a bit more! When I saw the title and expression on your face, I thought you were suffering other types of backfires lol!
