I'm a bit confused--do you mean it was pulling 1.2 kilowatts when you checked the meter, or that the root cellar has consumed 1.2 kilowatt hours since you started the heater?

Jake --- You're totally right -- Mark meant to write kwh --- it's used 1.2 kilowatt-hours since we plugged it in this fall.
