Low budget garden gate promotion

gate for new chicken pasture area

Since the deer deterrents have been working we decided to transfer the original garden gate from its old location to the new chicken pasture.

Looks like flock moving day will be sometime tomorrow.

You should always relocate chickens at night. Far less stressful on the chicken movers.

Good point! Our girls are awfully well trained, though --- when I rattle a bit of laying pellets in a container, they come running, and I've had no trouble getting them to go where I want in the past. The addition of the rooster is a big question mark, but I suspect he'll probably follow along. We'll see... Feel free to say "I told you so" if things don't go as planned. :-)
