Discordant sound combinations act as a mechanical deer deterrent

do it yourself low budget deer deterrent detail

We've got 3 mechanical deer deterrents going right now and zero damage to the garden.

I see fresh deer tracks in the mud just about every day when I walk Lucy, which tells me they're out there and keeping a safe distance from our cacophony of protection.

I predict someday you'll see a deer with earmuffs munching your veggies.

Don't give those deer any ideas! You know they read the blog.

Phil --- I hope not! That's why Mark's always tweaking it, changing the sounds a bit so that they don't get too repetitive.

Kevin -- Thanks! Mark takes wonderful photos.

handy farm devices and how to make them. It's an interesting read.

I really enjoyed that book, but didn't realize it was available in the public domain! I've always thought that, as people go back to the land who have forgotten the old ways, many of those old tools could be brushed off and turned into microbusiness products.
