The top layer of ice in the irrigation tank has been thick enough to
demand a heavy hammering in order to clear enough space to allow a 5
gallon bucket to be submerged.
This is what it must feel like to go ice fishing, although I hear one
needs to use a heavy saw to cut through much thicker ice than what we
have here.
Hi its me again, I wanted to let you know about 2 inventions I have discovered on youtube. One is GLOBAL BUCKETS. type that in the search engine you will out how 2 kids created their garden from 5 gallon buckets and watered them through a siphoning process which they don't need to water their plants because its automaticly done for them. If that creek near your place is elevated above your place you could use the siphoning system to bring the water to you without using electricity, it uses gravity--actually atmospheric pressure. but it works and is free to do. Note: using pvc the animals like to chew on it. So I would use something else, metal pipes or if possible, bury the pipe. Also, type Ram pump into youtube search engine, If the water is downhill from you, you can bring it up to you without electricity. From what I have read so far, A 10 foot drop from the water source, will allow you to bring the water uphill up to 100 feet. I hope this information is helpfull.
