you will need to provide "cover"( an aquatic plant of some kind) for the goldfish or the coons and herons will eat it. Don't ask me how I know<>G> the fish will get surprisingly big in a short time. They continually cruise around the perimeter of the pond eating either alga or mosquito larva.
